Total Health expenditure  = public  + private health expenditure.
Total health expenditure of India 2009-13 is 3.9% of GDP.
Public health expenditure of india 2009-13 is 1.2 % of GDP.

Public Health Expenditure includes:
1. health services (preventive and curative),
2. family planning activities, nutrition activities,
3. emergency aid designated for health

(does not include provision of water and sanitation).
